Question Linelock Install

How hard is it to install a linelock setup? And how exactly does it work?

It's a pretty easy install. It work by you pressing on the brakes, turn the linelock on and it holds the fluid in the line for the front brakes. Do you burnout, and let off the line lock. You have to remove or of the brake lines fromt he ABS unit to the master cylinder and put the line lock and it's lines in place. Run the wires and switch and bleed. Easy. Took my about 2 hours, but I was having some problems mountsing my switch where I wanted it.

I just had a linelock installed on my car today! Luckily, my dad is a mechanic so he helped me with the install (he did the plumbing, I did the wiring ). I don't think it was too difficult to re-route and hook up the brake lines to the solenoid, and the wiring part is simple. I had a B&M linelock kit installed. The only thing it didn't come with was the necessary fittings and line to put the solenoid in place, so that's where my dad came in.......he already had brake line and fittings here.

If I have time, I can snap a couple pics tomorrow to show you what the finished product looks like. I mounted the switch inside the ashtray, so it's convenient, but discreet at the same time.

I allows you to "Lock" the front brakes... typically it's used to do burnouts, and to assist in preventing a manual car from rolling through the timing lights at the track.
