Life of qa1 adjustable shocks?

This is probably a stupid question but before I buy the adjustable qa1 front and rear shocks, do they last just as long as the stock shocks? Thanks for any help.

I doubt it, but they are rebuildable. Mine have been in the car for about 8 years and are still fine, but it doesn't get driven much at all. Shoebox and I put the QA1 shocks in at the same time, and his started leaking in less than a year. A buddy of mine with a 97 SS ended up with his leaking after a couple years.

I had one leak after about 17K miles, cost me $84 to have it rebuilt.

Why are they so pricey, yet need to be rebuilt so soon?
