lack of traction - help

I've been to the track last week. my times are 8.34 ; 8.32 ; 8.31 on the 1/8 so quite consistent but i had real difficulties to keep traction on the first half of the 1/8.

I had MT ET street 255/50/16 on the car. It seems those tires were not enough or does i have to improve others things first to have better launch ?

Um with those tires and your mods you should be able to dead hook on the street.

i forgot to tell : the car had weight reduction (no seats at all, no carpet, spare wheel, etc) . the tires were heated before.

I have bilstein HD shocks.

During all launch, it seems the rear axle having hop ?

Are your running stock Control arms and PnaHard?
Do you have Relocation brackets. Is the car at stock ride height?

What was the 60" times?

You haven't stated what your 60ft times were yet nor have you said how much pressure your running in the tires. Info please...

i would say where your lacking just from looking at the mods and your times is in the suspension and i guarantee it shows in your 60ft times. if i had to guess i would say youre pulling a 2.1 60ft. chop a couple tenths off there and youll be good to go. i would look into some lca's, relocatoin brackets, and an adjustable torque arm.
