K member concerns
K member concerns
OK I have been searching and reading about these. i am looking to go with a UMI tubular k member on my 94 formula. What I am concerned with is how many people are talking about them breaking. I have also seen many talk about them being built for road roace and autox. Now I am NOT an autoxer or a road race guy. Mine is mostly a street/strip car. I belong to an international pontiac organization and drive it to cruise ins and benefits and stuff like that and do not want to buy something that I will have to worry about failure with while on the raod.
Any input on this would be greatly appreciated.

I'm currently in the market for a new K-member, as well as a bunch of suspension pieces (already leaning towards Strano parts) so this is good info to have
.
IMO I'd go with an UMI if i was autocrossing, a Spohn if I were in a street/strip application or a BMR for drag only.
Reasons behind this, from what I gathered, UMI is the strongest (and heaviest), spohn is a great median between weight and strength (I believe it is the second lightest next to BMR, and they warranty their k-members), and BMR is the lightest in the market.
