I was wondering if there was any difference in convertable and regular k members ? or are they all the same ? i was told the convertables are different . Is this true ? thanks

The stock convertable k-member has a tab on each side that ties into the cross brace that criss-crosses under the transmission tunnel

 

but are the tabs in different places from a non covertable and convertable k member ? or are they in the same place ?

 

The coupes don't have the "X" brace. They have a simple sheet metal strap that spans the driveshaft tunnel, attaching to mounts welded to the floor pans. The convertible has the large "X" brace that attaches to those two mounts, and I guess to the K-member.
