Just finished lowering Z28

After lowering the car it makes a hell of a racket going over bumps and the rear tire on the passenger hits the top of the wheelwell mainly because there is a 2" difference between the right side and the left side.I've tried switching the the springs from side to side but it made no difference.I've installed shocks for lowered cars, lca relocation brackets, adjustable lca and adjustable phb.Has anyone had this problem before.Any help would be appreciated.

Unless the shocks are used and possibly damaged, did you adjust the LCA and PHR correctly?

Re: Just finished lowering Z28

Its impossible to comprehend how it would be possible to end up with a 2" difference from side to side. Other than putting both rubber isolators in one side and none in the other, I don't see how its possible. Unless maybe you damaged one of the shocks and its not compressing at all.

Or, is it possible one of your front corners is sitting way too low, and kicking up the opposite rear corner?

I bought the Ebach Pro line kit new,I adjusted the lca's to center the wheels front to back and the phb to adjust the wheels side to side. It's all good but the differance between the tire and wheel well and of course the noise.

No, something is screwy there. 2" is a huge difference. Did you install the LCAs with the car's weight on the tires like you are supposed to?
Adjusting the LCAs to center the wheels in the wheel wells is not the right way to go about it, is it? I'd match the length to the length of the stockers.

Re: Just finished lowering Z28

Why would I install adjustable lca only to set them at stock 43"s and I adjusted the lca's with the chassey under load.Ok 2" was an over estimation I went out and measured the gap it's only 3/4" but it looks huge.I took it apart again and installed a 3/4" spacer above the isolator it look fine tires not scaping.I don't know whither I fixed the cause or the effect. The car is going to the body on Monday ,I've got to find out why there's a difference.

Just in case anyone's interested the reason there was a difference in the heigh between the left and right side.I twisted the body either through hard launchs or hard cornering. The car is being pulled back into shape on a boady rack. The hazards of doing chase and suspension work last.

Why would you have to adjust the LCA's? What benefit did adjusting them different than stock provide?
