Is there anyone who sells replacement u-joints for the intermediate steering shaft? I know I can buy the whole joint from Borgeson or Flaming River, but I'm talking about the center section of the U-joint similar to those you can buy for the driveshaft. I'm trying to avoid fabbing up a whole new intermediate shaft for $250 if I can just replace the parts that are worn for $20.

 

The U-joints on the intermediate shaft appear to be specialized for the application. The entire shaft is available from GM for around $120.

 

The part has been discontinued.

 

Must be a recent event; my friend bought one not more than 6 months ago.

 

I guess I used the wrong part number. Using P/N 26020775 it lists for $257.74. May as well fab one up without a rag joint.
