Installing rear coil springs direction ?

I was wondering on the rear coil springs which way do you want the bottom facing ( where the coil ends) does it change the ride height is you have it facing one way or the other? if so what does what? what about the top? thanks

P.S my car sits a little lower in the back then I like.

The open end of the lower coil should face forward.

Always put my "coil ends" facing forward, with the "stub" end in the middle or about 3/4 to the passenger side around the perch. Always worked, I started because I saw a few stockers had them this way.

yeah indexing is what I mean, I searched the forums and some people said that you can change the ride height by moving them, but never said which way.
