Exclamation I want Big Brake upgrade without Big Brake price...

i'm about to order some rotors for my 98 SS and was wondering if there was anything i could do to get 13" rotors without having to buy a $1200 big brake kit from somewhere...is it true that the vette rotors are 13" and if so is there some way to adapt the caliper or will it still work with that rotor??? thanks a lot!!!!!!!!!!

The C5 brake conversion will run in the neighborhood of $700. There is a ton of information about it available by searching.

C5 calipers
C5 rotors
C5 pads
LG or Bob Bishop brackets

You don't need to buy the C5 calipers and pads. They are almost identical to the LS1 stuff anyway. Brackets to adapt the stock LS1 calipers to run on the C5 13" rotors are available from several sources for under $300. Add to that OK rotors from Auto Zone and you could be done for like $400 or so. I've done this to my car and the results were awsome. BUt instead of buying brackets I modified the stock caliper mount brackets to work with the C5 rotors. Not too hard if your a compedent welder and much cheaper.
