I have a weld in 6-point roll bar? Take out SFC's?

I have a 6 point s&W weld in roll bar and weld on subframe connecters on the car. Im trying to shave some weight off the car this winter and was wondering if i could take the SFC's off the car and not see any differences? The roll bar was welded to the provided steel plates that are on the frame. Just curious to what you guys have done. the car is solid as can be now, but the extra 20 pounds would be nice to drop. Thanks

i would. no sense in having 2 chassis supporting mods. the cage is more than enough to hold up to the stress produced by the car...they're just lift points after the cage install

The strongest structural shape is a triangle. I had the hoop welded into the rear subframes, the front braces welded into the front subframes, and a chrome moly SFC added to complete the triangle. When you get to the point of requiring a full cage, they make you add a brace connecting the hoop to the rear braces, at floor level. At that point, an SFC becomes superfluous.

I left my subframe connectors in and added a bar at the bottom of the rocker along the door. my crossbar for my torque arm welded to my frame connectors.
