Unhappy How in the world do i fix this properly?

Well ive had this problem a while and asked a few times and never got a good strait answer on what would be best. My 95 T/A has an elongated hole for the bolt on the panhard rod. Its thge driver side hole tahts attached to teh body. Im guessing someone was going around a turn too fast and slid into a curb???? Either way im stuck with the problem. The front tires are wearing on the outside edges and cant be aligned casue the whoe rearend shifts a lil side to side. I need to get this fixed so i dont screw up a new pair of goodyear GS D3s on the front.

Im open to all suggestions here.

Have a heavy gage fender washer with the right size hole welded to each side of the bracket, or have a small steel tube, just big enough for the bolt to fit through, welded into the bracket.

Re: How in the world do i fix this properly?

i was thinkig about the big heavy washers on either side also, but the bolt GM put through there is just barley long enough to come out of the end on the nut on there. Its tapered kinda to a point on the end of the bolt, and the nut has the threads slightly dimpled in to lock it onto the bolt. But if i stick washer in there, it wont fully thread on and the locking part of the nuts threads wont grab the bolt? Id just get a longer bolt but GM decided to use a bolt that steps down halfway through the housing. So should i just get one big bolt and drill out the one side of the braket a lil more so it can pass through and just get a big grade 8 bolt and locking nut on it? This car is gonna have alotta power going through it and some heavy dragstrip use, i dont wanna have to worry about his problem. I wanna fix it permenently.

if you need a longer bolt, go to home depot, get a longer bolt, get a locking nut and then you're done. use the really thick washer and weld them on.
