if I installed VBP Hypercoil springs that provide a 1.25" drop on my car with them still on? I know it wouldn't be long, but someone wants to trade springs asap and I don't have enough for better shocks at the moment.

Stock Bilstein shocks on my 87 IROC-Z and they are still as good as the day I drove it off the Dealer's lot 17 yrs ago.
So does that answer your question?? They will last longer then you will own that car.

WS6s did not come with Bilsteins, they came with stock DeCarbon shocks, which aren't even really good for stock springs. Only Firehawks/SSs had the option of coming with Bilstein shocks.
