Help with front shocks

I have everything off and the spring compressed, but when I took the nut off to get the mount off it won't budge. I have tried heating them up, and prying on it, but it is stuck on there. I have heard a new one is like 100 bucks....anybody else have this problem? What did you do to get them off?

Thanks...

Re: Help with front shocks

If you have the nut off, hold the mount still and knock the shock out of it.

Re: Help with front shocks

I just went and got a new blade for my hacksaw. I was going to cut the shock in half and then beat the rod through. Hopefully that works because I don't want to spend 75 bucks for a new mount....

This Bilsteins better be worth all this trouble!
