Hawk squeak

I just got some new Brembo drilled rotors (yeah, I know, driveway jewlery) and Hawk pads. I had a shop put them in, and they are squeaking like mad. I am going to check them this weekend, and I am thinking about getting all new springs and clips for the calapiers. Any one have part #'s?
Also, any suggestions on things to look for? I did the "pad burnishing procedure" as suggested by the directions that came with the pads.

I got the $85 pads, first one.

Re: Hawk squeak

Pad Burnishing?? Oops.. I never read the manual. I've seen a illion and one pads in my life, so I just threw them on and drove on them. They were a little non-grippy at first to I rode them for about a 1/4 mile at about 38MPH...

I never had a problem w/ rotors squeaking. What do you mean by D.W. Jewlery?? Are those rotors no good?

As far as the metal pieces, and the small spring for the pads.. Go to NAPA and have them look it up.. Are we on the same page here, w/ the metal pieces? Be sure they are not touching the rotors.. I had problems w/ my upgrade with the upper metal piece kept falling.. THat was it...

Re: Hawk squeak

Got it taken care of.

D.W. Jewlery; alot of people on this board and other boards feel that drilled rotors aren't good for anything else than looking good on the driveway. These are my first experience with drilled rotors. They were heavier than the OEM. They seem good.

I put new clips in, and used the hell out of the anti-squeek grease. When i was talking about the clips, I ment the little peice that goes between the pad and the caliper.

Thanks tho.

Re: Hawk squeak

TGhe clip is what I was thinking about too. About the rotors, try doing a couple HARD stopps, after the rotors are broken in of course. They don't warp and they help stop you 40% better.... IMO... I had some power slot rotors on my last car. and OMG!! bets money ever spent..
