You need to provide a little bit of info... year and model of car would be a good start. Then a slightly more detailed description of the problem.

Let's try this in the "brakes" forum.

I have a line lock on my '95 ( kit from Thunder Racing, Hurst Roll Control unit). Have you recently done any brake work? Wondering if maybe you have air in the lines, maybe you should bleed them to make sure. Since the brakes won't hold the car with or without the lock, it seems the problem is the front brakes rather than the line lock.

Still need some more information.

Is this a new occurance? Did it used to hold? Did you just install the line lock or was it before and just not used?

Are you using it correctly and pressing your foot to the floor as hard as possible, then engaging it?

Have you done any brake work to the front end lately?

Theres TONS of things it could be.

My stock front brakes/line lock will hold the car in a 6,000rpm 2nd gear burnout on 28" ET Drags.....

If your line lock and brakes won't hold the car, there's something wrong with the brakes. What was "apart" when you got the car..... any of the braking components? What condition are the brake pads in? .... the brake rotors? .... is the "BRAKE" light on?

If the "BRAKE" light is on, it indicates that there is a pressure imbalance between the front and rear brakes. This can mean air in the line, leaking components, etc. Or maybe the "BRAKE" light pressure differential switch got stuck in the "on" position when you were using the line lock. I've had this happen a couple times. I good hard stop in an open parking lot will usually unstick it. But if your brakes aren't stopping the car, and the line lock will not hold the car, there's a good chance you have air in the lines to the front brakes, or leaks. Sort of risky to even attempt a hard stop.

If the "ABS INOP" light is on, it may be in response to the "BRAKE" light being on, or it may be a problem with the ABS sensors or the ABS modulation motors.

Lot's of possibilities.

i have to pump the brakes hard three or four times then engauge the line lock and if itson dry pavement it will still roll a little if you dont drop the clutch hard.
