Question Handling - general instability...highway speeds

Car is a '96 Ta with 99k on the ticker...

The car generally feels unstable, especially at highway speeds. It actually feels like the rear end wants to go one way and the car wants to go another. Also, bumps on the interstate will sometimes make the car feel like it's just skipping over them...

This is not very pronounced at low speeds unless the road is rough.

I replaced the rear shocks with KYB gas-a-just and didn't feel much of a difference...(already been told I made the wrong choice of shock )

What condition are the sway-bar, panhard-bar, and control arm bushings in, how old are they? Are all the rear suspension nuts & bolts tight?

Easiest way to fix this is to go to your favorite alignment shop (not the dealer, unless you're swimming in extra money) and have them do a four-wheel alignment.

Whatever's wrong, they'll find it.

yeah my car did the harlem shake on the highway, when I took it off the road for the build, I noticed a lot of the bushings (all stock, getting changed as suspension comes in) all looked cracked and worn...I would inspect your bushings first
