Got some shaking at 55mph

When I'm driving the car the steering wheel dosent vibrate at all until I get from 50mph or so up to about 60mph. Do yall think I need shocks or an alignment job done? Thanks.

Re: Got some shaking at 55mph

most obviously and firstly you should check for lumps in the tires. secondly go to a wheel/tire shop and check the balance, shouldnt be more than 8 bucks a wheel. if that's not the problem it's likely to be alignment or shocks gone out. to check the shocks all you gotta do is push on the car above where the thought bad shock is. if it bounces back more than once it's bad. i doubt it's the shocks though or youd be complaining about riding like you're in a boat, ever seen a 80's crown vic hit a bump and not stop bouncin? that's what bad shocks do
