I think my next mod will be putting new springs and shocks on my car. Im at about 80,000 miles on the stockers so i think its time. I would like to lower it maybe 1-2 inches. Im not serious enough into drag raceing right now to worry about lost traction so that will not be a problem. I have 275/35/18 tires mounted on 18x9.5" Z06 wheels with a 56mm offset in the front and 315/30/18 BFG DR's mounted on 18x10.5" Z06 wheels with a 56mm offset in the rear. I will also be installing 3/8" wheel spacer's in the rear shortly, due to rubbing under extremely hard cornering under acceleration. When i get the money i will fix this with an adj. panhard bar.

Anyway, i would like to know what springs and shocks to run, and go well together, without rubbing in the rear. I still have bumper jouce brackets in the rear, if that matters. Roads around here are not too bad and i can avoid all speed bumps and take inclines at an angle. What shocks go well with lowering springs.

I would also like to see some pics of your guys lowered vehicles. And how difficult is it to replace shocks/springs. Are there any special tools needed.

 

I can get a deal locally on KYB 8-way adjustable shocks and Eibach Sportlines for $250 plus my stockers. They have around 8,000 miles on them. Should i got for it or look arond for something different.

 

Anybody have any input?

 

KYB's are junk.

The sportlines are too low with too little rate.
