everyday/drag shock??????

i need a new set of shocks and i was gonna go with the bilstein h/d or the level 2's from slp. i drive the car everyday and drag race it often. i never ever auto cross it. i heard that the bilsteins actually hurt you on the drag strip. is that true?? if so what sort of shock should i get? also anyone know the diffrence between the level 2 and the h/d's? nothing that i have to adjust either like koni's. my car isn't lowerd or anything, all i have is 1le springs. if anyone could help me that would be great. thanks

Re: everyday/drag shock??????

Drag shocks and springs promote weight transfer to the rear wheels during launch. This weight transfer isn't good for handling (cornering). QA1 makes a set of adjustable shocks that allow you to adjust, via a **** on each shock, the dampening. This allows you to reduce the dampening for weight transfer at the track and increase the dampening for street cornering. I was dissatisfied with the cornering performance but it's a lot to ask to have the best of both worlds (drag racing and corner carving).

Pick one.
Either drag racing or corner carving. In my opinion you will be disappointed if you try to have it both ways.
I have an Eibach drag launch kit on my car with KYB AGXs and will be removing the KYBs and putting them on the V6 bird I have. They just are not the right choice for drag racing.
I have been much happier with my camaro since I went drag only with the car. With skinnies and no front sway bar it won,t take corners fast but thats ok with me.
If you wanna go drag racing then a good adjustable shock such as the QA1 will be just what your looking for.
