engine swap: stroker to 94 firebird

I've bougt a balanced crate stroker with and old 350 block that I was originally putting in a 88 camaro, not an Lt1 block. I have been told to change the k member but when I went to buy one they said it wouldn't work. Is there someone that will make mounts to fit this k member or what do I do, I can't see welding it in, to risky on my part. There is got to be someone who has done this in to a 93-97 camaro or firebird!

Unless I am missing something, any side mount small block should mount with no problem to a 93-97 that had an LT1 in it.

Then you need a K-member from an LT1.

Talked to sphon performance about buying a new k member and they said it won't work, need to use and engine plate, does that make sense to anyone.

I am not aware that the side mount locations on an earlier SBC are different than the LT1, so it makes no sense to me. But, I might be an idiot.
(you would need to use the LT1 motor mounts)

I am surprised no one else has posted. I know there are guys out there with SBCs in 4th gens.

BMR makes a specific model tubular K-member for installing a Gen 1 SBC. Look at part #KM005.

What should i use for and air cleaner? It is obvious that with a carburetor, the cleaner will sit to high, I should have gotten a fuel injected motor but it was originally going in a 88 camaro. Any ideas

You've got a lot of issues to address. Will the distributor fit under the cowl without cutting out the wiper linkage? Are you keeping the stock PCM to drive the speedometer? How are you going to regulate the fuel pressure? Will it be a return or deadend fuel system?
