Alright guys, I replaced my motor mounts today with Energy Suspension polyurethane ones. I thought I would make a note of a few things and write a short review.

First off, the job took me just under ten hours to do with a standard floor jack, to jackstands, a 160 piece toolkit, 4 1/2" angle grinder, drill, and drill set. Fairly primitive. Out of curiosity, what is the normal time for this job? I know I went really slow and I had a few problems, so I am assuming that (with the motor still in place) it is more like an 4-5 hour job, tops.

The ES motor mounts give a great ride. Any engine reverberations you feel are pretty solid feeling. Not shaky or rough, but just right. Definitely not as soft as rubber, though. I love them!

The passenger side is the hardest to do, and I spent 4 hours on it. It took me two hours just to get the bolts loose and start working them out. Of course, there are two lines which get in the way of getting the bolt out, but I was able to work around them using a trick or two. I put the bolt back in backwards to make it easier next time around, since I will eventually go to a integrated mount on a k-member.

The driver side is the easiest, but get this: the bushing wouldn't fit inside of the bracket. I used a drill to get our the rivets, but I finally took an angle grinder to the bushing edges to get them to finally fit. Getting them cut right and set took 3 hours. Son of a ______...........

Anyway, just my $.02 on the bushings. Besides the "WTH?" on the over sized bushing, I would definitely suggest them.

 

Yup...I like the added 'rock' the car has when you rev it too..

 

Me and a buddy did both of mine in about an hour tops on a lift.
