Eibach Drag Launch kit

I just ordered the Eibach Drag launch kit from slponline.com Do the springs lower the car at all? I have wide *** tires and dont really need to rub them off on the fender walls. it comes with an airbag that goes in the passenger rear spring... hopefully it doesnt lower my car. Do you know?

Re: Eibach Drag Launch kit

It don,t raise mine up, and I would not want one side to raise up anyway.
On my car it lowered the front end and skyjacked the rear.
I run 15x10 pro stars with 5.5 BS on the rear and they stick out decently, I have had no problems at all with them hitting the fenders even with just 5 lbs in the right rear bag. I am running 275/50/15 Nittos currently but plan on changing to some 28 MT drag radials, I still do not anticipate any problems.

Re: Eibach Drag Launch kit

The Eibach Drag Launch springs in the back of mine raised the back end about 1/2". Made plenty of additional room for the 28" slicks.

thats what I mean... it drops the front end and rases the rear....I run dual bags...one in each spring.

The Drag Launch kit comes with only the right rear when you buy it.
Thanks Injuneer now I know for sure a 28 will fit.

Depends.

Some 28" slicks are (ET Streets) 27.6" diameter, and fit with no mods. I ran 28x11.5-15 QTP's at 28.0" and the rear axle had to be moved back about 1/4" to keep them from hitting the sheetmetal at the front of the fender openings. The tires were growing enough at 125+mph trap speeds to be a problem. Now have 28x10.5-15W ET Drags, and I've already taken about 1.5" off the leading edge of the bumper cover, and hammered back the metal "point" that is behind the bumper cover. I've dyno tested them at 130mph and no rubbing, but I'm not sure if they will clear if I go above that.

Re: Eibach Drag Launch kit

Hmm, ok so I guess I will mount them up and see how it goes.
I won,t be seeing those kinds of trap speeds and I don,t like how much fender gap I have with the 26 inch diameter.
If worse comes to worst I dont mind a little trimming.
Thanks for the info.
