Only if you want the car to handle well around corners

Re: do i have to have my rear sway bar?

depends. These cars like a soft bar in the rear as well as degased shocks. I have seen people remove it entirely and replace it with stiffer springs and with great success. I have not tried this yet, but will soon. The problem is lack of adjustability. Well, I suppose you could cary a variety of springs, but that gets expensive. I made my bars adjustable. It is all a balance thing and depends on how it is used.

Re: do i have to have my rear sway bar?

I have been driving w/o my rear sway bar for a few months now due to a 9bolt swap. Eventually im gunna buy a bigger sway bar with brackets that fit the 9bolt but its not a high priority for me bc i really cant tell a difference w/ or w/o it.
