Different optional steering racks

I'm looking at a parts list. Is the "sport" steering rack for the 93-97 f-body basically the LT1 rack that was optional for the V6(if I remember correctly). Or was there an another optional rack for the LT1 era?

Also is anyone familiar with an aftermarket company that produces racks with optional ratio's(for f-body's)?

Thanks

Re: Different optional steering racks

i think the only difference was the intro of the ls1 unit. it was a higher ratio so you'd be better off with the lt1 unit. something like 11.7:1 and 11.3:1 or something like that...so basicly you'll have to turn 1/4 more with the ls1 to gain the same with the lt1...

is it really worth the trouble...i dont think so...either way you'll react the same and you'll adapt to either to your liking.

but to answer your question, i think the sport had a cooler on it...no difference in how it worked, power, anything else...just a cooler.
