complete suspension

I want to do a suspension change. I had a 94 V6, i upgraded to a 99 Z convertible. i love the convertible but handling is almost the same as my V6. I've already decided on Subframe connectors, and i already have eibach pro springs installed. from what i gather i should do the following mods in order: 1: Subframes 2:trut brace 3: swaybars 4: shocks/struts 5: tunnel brace 6:torque arm 7: panhard bar i dont eally wanna get into controll arms or replacing the front k member or anyhting, just the cheaper parts. i want to take corners insanely fast and not have to worry about my unibody twisting when i come off the line. if anyone can give me advice on brands to use, where to buy, steps to do it in, just anything becuase i have no experience with suspension. Thx everyone, u guys are the greatest help around!

Re: complete suspension

The only information I have to offer here is to make sure the subframe connectors you buy will fit convertibles. Most of them (I think) do not.

Re: complete suspension

IMO, you order is off greatly.

Here's my suggestions: 1. Shocks (Koni) 2. Swaybars (ST or Strano) 3. Subframes (SLP) 4. Panhard Rod (Trackbird)

Strut tower brace is almost worthless. Probably don't need a tunnel brace or torque arm at this time.

Honestly, your outlook may change greatly once you have a proper set of shocks on the car.

Re: complete suspension

My advice...do the shocks first (Konis) and you may not even feel the need for sways. Doing them at seperate times allows you to actually determine the individual effect.

Re: complete suspension

Thx for the advice, everyone reccomends konis... i guess theres no questions there, as for the swaybars, i think i'm gonna replace em anyway becuase a few friends and i on the weekends flood out this church parking lot by opening up the fire hydrants. so we set up a little drift course with traffic cones and just have at it. everyone says sways will help me to rip through the corners alot faster than stock. BUT i will definately do the konis first, then if i think i need to, i'll install the sways myself later.

Re: complete suspension
