Competition Engineering 8 point roll cage rear struts, need some help

68 SS Camaro & Competition Engineering 8 point roll cage rear struts, need some help
Okay so I am at the point of installing my 8 point cage in my 68 SS and have the CE rear formed struts. Has anyone installed these things? They look like they will need to be cut WAY back to fit. Any and all advise is greatly appreciated. any pictures and measurements would be a huge help too
