Clunking w/ tubular lcas?

My car clunks in the rear when I go over even the slightest of bumps or transitions. Anyone else have this problem? I am not overly concerned and have had them installed for +10 years w/o drivability issues and am just thinking about it now, so can't be too serious, just curious if I am alone with this? They have the poly/rubber combo bushings and I know that it (the "clunk") was there before the other basic upgrades, phr, swaybar/links, springs, dd subframes. Could it be something else?

Check the right rear exhaust hanger rubber isolator, it could be worn-out causing the over axle exhaust pipe to contact the PHB upper support. Or maybe your exhaust is just too close to the PHB upper support.
Also check the spare and jack, they might be loose.

had that happen when i didn't have the bolts torqued down enough. maybe they worked loose.

could also be a bad shock

or as stated, a mount. check the ta mount as well.

you wouldn't happen to know what the torque spec is?

10 years with the poly/rubber combo... right there... replace the bushings!!! I mean poly lasts, but it does wear out over time. LOL!!!

If you have rod-ends, then those normally make noise, mine have almost since day one when going over crazy bumps.

Looking back at it, I know the clunk started about the time of the lca install +/- 10 years ago. Would poly deteriorate even if not used to at a normal rate of use? I average about 300mi a year on the 'bird, with the first 10,000mi on the odometer coming my first year of ownership when I did not have a daily driver.

If the clunk started when you first installed them, then it's probably a loose or not tight enough bolt.

I know poly/rubber do deteriorate over time, regardless of usage, they just do it faster with more usage. I'd say you're probably fine, just go back and torque the hell outta everything.

It's been so long since I did mine that I don't remember but it was breaker bar tight, not just ratchet tight.

It's time to check them out. Could be as mentioned and you didn't tighten them enough or the bushings are beat up at this point. I just replaced the poly bushings at the back of the control arms with some solids. Mine were starting to push out as I have relocation brackets and there was a little to much space between the bushing and the bracket.
