changing steering column

When I change a steering column in a 94, do I just use key and tumbler that's on it, if yes do I have to do any thing with computer, use old tumbler, suggestions please and Thank you!!

You'll want to use the key cylinder and key from the original column, unless the pellet in the replacement column happens to match resistance of the original. If you use the replacement's key cylinder and the pellet does not match the original, you will need a new key cut with the profile of the replacement key and the pellet value of the original. There are some bypass options also, depending on what you want to do.
