Car wanders all over the road

I have noticed my car wanders all over the road. The alignment is right on spec, I have checked it twice. The car darts all over the lane. The front end is tight, the ball joints and hub bearings are tight. I was told it might be the tires. I'm not sure what it is. I'm trying to wear these tires out to try some new ones.

What size wheels and tires and what brand/model of tire? It makes a big difference on how it tracks. Wide tires with short, stiff sidewalls are going to track in ruts and uneven crowns.

Sorry Shoebox, I have the stock 17x9's with 275/40zr17 Kumho 712 Ecsta's on it. I noticed that it has gotten worse. It didn't do this when I had the original Comp T/A's on it.

A damaged tire could be a possibility. I had damaged a belt in a tire before and if I took my hand off the wheel, the car would violently pull.

Mine did the same when I changed my tires in the rear. I have 245/45r16 in the from and put some 255/55zr16 in the rear and OMG it was pathedic. I was having a hard to even driving at all. I thought for a second that they took my panhard and control arms off. It got better once the tires got broken in but its still loose. Im hoping when I get the matching tires up front, it will tighten up.

I have had the very same tires with same size wheels and I would say tracking is worse with the Kumhos.

17" by 9 wheels with 275_40 rubber (BFG KD) on the front will pull the wheel with an uneven road surface. My 97 does it all the time for all 30k miles. I do like how it handles.

I have a 96 Z28/SS and with the 17" ZR1s, they dart constantly over irregular road services. There is even a caveat in the owner's manual from SLP regarding that problem.

If your tires are new, you shouldn't be experiencing that problem. However, I ride on Michelins.
