Can't keep car straight if road is uneven.

I have Goodyear F1 275's on the front and 315's on the rear. When i drive on the freeway we have ruts in lot of spots and the car is all over the place. Almost any place the road is not 100% smooth the car steers according to the roads condition. Is this normal or is something worn out? I put new sway bar, bushings and end links otherwise its stock with 108K miles.

My last car had huge tires and lots of suspension, and it would do the same thing. Having grippy tires is a two way street. They grip when you want them too, but they also grip when you don't want them too.

I had perfect alignment and no malfuntions, so I'm pretty sure it's just the nature of the beast.

Welcome to the club. Make sure your alignment is correct! I just had mine aligned and it is a little better.

You know that if you can see ruts in the road, it's going to be a wrestling match.

I feel like I'm in the boxing ring driving on some of the roads here.

The handling is so bad sometimes i think a cop will pull me over for a dui. If one is behind me i panic and fight it like a bucking bronco. I can't have even one drink if i drive this car.

Had a 1st gen that did that. The mechanic checked out the front end and found many of the parts where worn "slightly". His advice was to down size the tire width. Took the fronts and put them in the back. Found some narrower matching front rims and ran smaller tires up front. The car drove like new again. And with selling the back wheels and tires it didn't cost that much to do, compared to replacing all the front end parts and maybe still having the same problem, which is what the mechanic predicted.

I had 245's up front and went with 275's. There is a night and day difference.
