can LS1 calipers be used on C5 upgrade?

looking into a C5 front brake upgrade so i can get another inch of rotor over the LS1 swap i got. i read somewhere the calipers are identical minus the casting procedure and the stiffening/cooling fins on the top? it would make it much cheaper if i could just use the LS1 caliper with the C5 rotor, as they are the same thickness etc. will this bolt onto the C5 caliper mount bracket thats in those kits? or does someone make a mounting bracket for the LS1 caliper on C5 rotors? any info would be appreciated, thank you.

From all that's been written on the upgrades, I think you're right and the caliper have identical mounting requirements. But, I'd call UMI or whoever you might be getting the mounting bracket from to confirm it.
