c5 rear brakes on LT1 rear or LS1 rear?
c5 rear brakes on LT1 rear or LS1 rear?
wondering if anyones done it, if there's any gains to be had to go along with my front C5 swap. anyone make a bracket to adapt it? or are they the same size as the LS1 rear brakes? I got a set of rear brake's off a 01 vette I swapped out the stock stuff for some painted Z06 stuff.

I am in the midst of this swap as well. I have an LT1 rear. What you have to do is get the backing plates for the LS1 calipers. The sad thing is that they come assembled with the parking brake mechanism from GM. This is okay if you are going to attempt that swap as well like I am. Basically that is all you need. I am using LS1 rear rotors though becuase I am swapping in the parking brake. I have read that you may need to do a little cutting to the antirattle spring because it scrapes the rotor but I won't know until all the parts come in to fit everything up. So far the rears are costing me around 500 for everything (parking brake, backing plates, rotors, calipers, and pads). I am swapping Z06/C5 stuff as well.
Added performance over LS1 rears, not at all. I just got them to match the fronts as the price was almost the same.

Check this site out. Maybe even email the guy for mor details. I am planning on documenting my LT1 rear bulidup and swap in my 86 camaro as well as the brake swap on my cardomain site. My id is spartyon8 if you want to take a look.

The LS1 rear swap is a direct bolt on, just use the correct e-brake cable.
I picked up my 2 sets for $100 each from local f-body forums, complete minus cables as I didn't need 4th gen cables.
