c5/c6 brake upgrade question

if ordering the c5/c6 brake upgrade for the rear brakes is it worth the extra money ($600) for the e-brake, they have a kit that doesnt have an e-brake. do i need one? i have a 1994 firebird auto

It all depends on what you use it for and where you live. If its a daily driven vehicle and you live in a somewhat hilly area, then yes I would say get one.

If its just a track car, I think it would be safe to say you can go without.

I was looking at probably the exact same kit you are looking at and I would have gotten the e-brake, but my girlfriends car broke down so that took all my camaro modding funds for the next couple of years.

To me a $600 e-brake option is well worth it when you consider all that is holding your 3600+lbs of F-body in place is a small pin in the transmission, and I'm sure you know tranny work is a hellova lot more difficult and expensive than brake work.
