C5 brakes on 02 4th gen

Re: C5 brakes on 02 4th gen
Yes you can put C5 brakes on a 4th gen f-body. You will need the rotors, calipers, pads and an adapter bracket/spindle. I'm not too sure where to find the adapter though. It is an upgrade and you will notice a difference due to the greater surface/contact area between the pad and rotor. After all, they are an inch greater in diameter.

well, with Bob's brackets, the only thing nongm you need is the adaptor and bolts. Everything else is GM parts for a C5.
I believe can possibly get the actual brake stuff like caliper, pad bracket, pads, hoses, etc for like $400 thru a good GM parts seller? Don't quote me on that though..

i believe i paid $500 shipped for all of the brake stuff, including C5 hoses, z06 pads, etc etc.
the bracket cost $300 shipped
so for $800 i got the best brake upgrade i'll ever have... TOTALLY worth it, both for looks and for performance.

k.. i knew it was around 400 or 500.. I forget which though.
I actualy have a set of the original brackets sitting in my garage , but haevn't got the chance to install them yet. I intended to get them on, but all this other stuff keeps coming up, and my stock LS1 brakes are just fine for the street.. I do plan to install them when I get my car prepped and checked for open track days.
