c-5 brake install ?'s

*Warning*possibly a dumb question*I have an extra set of spindles laying around. Could I build the whole brake setup on those and simply bolt them in. And if I could would it be easier this way? Im trying to have as little down time as I can.

I forgot to say that im doing the whole Bob Bishop C-5 Brake upgrade if your wondering.

Verify that the brake calipers will fit inside your rims...not all 17" rims clear the C5 setup...my Enkei Winn 17s don't!

I have 17 inch ls1 firehawk rims. I was under the understanding that all GM 17 inch rims worked. If anyone knows for sure please chime in.

I had 17" Firehawks on my '99 and they cleared the LG kit. I'm sure they will on Bob's kit as well.

You could build it off the car, although it might be hard to torque some of the bolts as several of them have a rather high torque spec. You'd need a big vice.
