Brakes (pads/rotors)?
Looking for decent brakes (rotors/pads), not looking to brake the bank, just something that will hold up and NOT be too DUSTY, look better than stock, and hold up to the riggors of the street. Slotted? Cross-Drilled? ...or both? The 'bird is a fair weather car, not being driven more than 1,000mi each year. Are they simplly a plug-n-play? Easy install for the novice? good link? Suggestions? Recommendations? Which vendor(s) have the best pricing? Thanks -Jeff

Hi,
www.ebcbrakes.com
I just installed their slotted and dimpled sport rotors and red-stuff ceramic pads on the front today.
It's an easy install, you'll need a 3/8" allen key/wrench to undo the front calipers, once the calipers are removed the rotor just pulls off .
Make sure you use an axle stand, don't trust the factory jack for anything other than changing a wheel.
I cleaned the hubs up with emery cloth and brake cleaner, same with the calipers.I used some copper grease on the back of the pads also.
Taking your time, you're probably looking at 3 hours tops,it's actually one of the nicer jobs on a 4th Gen .
Just bedding them in at the moment so can't really comment on the stopping power just yet. They look sweet installed and the quality is top notch.
Cost me £208 including shipping,I'm guessing that's about $400.
They're so new I havn't added them to my signature yet,LOL.
Hope this helps,all the best,Mark.
Edit: try www.perfectbrakes.com (US dealer).
