Question Brake pedal pulses and Low Trac light comes on

Recently, my brakes have been acting up. At low speeds, the brake pedal will pulse, and sink to the floor, then come right back up, and the low trac light illuminates on the dash. It only seems to do this at low speeds, like in traffic. It will happen when the car is cold, or after driving for a short period of time, so it doesn't seem to have any kind of discernable pattern that I can tell. And every once in a while, after the issue above, the ABS Inop light will come on. It has been longer than I care to admit since I last had the brakes flushed, and the fluid is kind of dark. Do you think a flush will fix the issue, or is this more serious? Let me know what kind of ideas you folks have out there. Thanks in advance.

Re: Brake pedal pulses and Low Trac light comes on

Does your car have only ABS or ABS+TCS? With the ABS-only cars, the "LOW TRAC" light indicates the ABS is pulsing.... might explain why the pedal feels the way it does. That problem can occur if the sensor is failing, or you have wiring problems... apppears the computer can't see any more pulses from the sensor and assumes the wheel is locked up, when it isn't.
