which brake pads on C5 calipers?

If I use C5 caliper on my stock LS1 brake, which pads can I use?
C5 pads or the stock F-Body LS1 pads?
I think they are not the same, right?

If the only thing you change is the caliper, you would use f-body pads.

If you get the vette abutment bracket(some might call it caliper mounting bracket) you could use vette pads.

But I think you'd be better off with f-body pads since they are made for f-body rotors and vette pads are made for vette rotors.

The calipers have the same basic geometry, but the vettes have stiffening ribs and smaller pistons and also are cast differently.

thank you very much!

But C5 calipers have smaller pistons?
Who would have thought it?

I don't know but are you sure?

C5 calipers have a 40mm bore. LS1 fbody calipers have a 44mm bore. That's because the C5 has a larger rotor.
