Brake line fittings?

I've got a 95Z with Vortech supercharger and am installing an Aftercooler kit. It sits above the drivers side valve cover, in between the intake and brake master cylinder and as you know, space is a premium. I'd like to shorten up the brake lines where they come out of the master cylinder, to allow a bit more side to side clearance. Right now they are about 2", and I'd like to take at least an inch off of them. I'm assuming I can just cut the lines, drop on a new fitting, and flare it. What size fittings will I need? Alternatively, I'll just take them down to a shop and have them do it...can't cost much. Now that I think about it, I should be able to re-use my existing fittings, right?? DUH! Ok then, what tool do you recommend?
