BMR Trak Pac Setup?

Guys,

I have a BMR trak pac installed on my Trans Am with the T/A relocation to the crossbrace between the SFCs. My question is, I have the pinion angle all setup and correct at -1 or 0 but is the piviot plates on the crossbrace (where the T/A mounts to) supposed to be completely vertical? Mine now angles now about 15 deg towards the front of the vehicle. Is this a problem, and if so and if it needs to be completely vertical how can I bring it back true?

The links should be vertical with the suspension in the loaded position. The link accomodates changes in the distance between the front and rear mounting points of the torque arm.

If the links are pitched forward, the TA is too long. You may have excessive threads showing on the rear solid rod ends. Screwing them into the tubes will shorten the TA. To preserve your pinion angle, you would have to shorten the exposed threads on the top and bottom joints by the same amount. Check it whan you are done to make sure.

I'm assuming this is the arm you are using:

I had to have a custom arm built to clear the Gear Vendors unit, and relocate the DS loop. Steve Spohn made a point of setting the arm length to put the front mount links in a true vertical position. The Spohn TA has an adjustment at the front end.

Thanks Injuneer and I was thinking that was my issue. I'll work on it today. BTW here is the setup I have - it was the first track pack that BMR made and they only sold about 6-7 of them and then they switched to the weld in cross bar. The guys at BMR couldn't believe I had this setup as so few were sold and only the owner and head guy over there remembered this setup and they called to discuss this with me a few weeks ago.
