BMR K-Member install Question

I am installing my second BMR K-member as I'm switching over to a Manual Rack. This new K-Member came with some round shims zip tied to it. On my last K-Member I did not use any shims. Anyone know what they are for?

The spacers are used to prevent distorting (collapsing) the sub frame area; they are zip tied to the K member location they are used.

Ditto, they are zip tied to the hole they go on. They go between the k-member and frame.
