Anyone buy parts from them??? How long did it take to recieve your parts? I ordered the UMI LCA & PHB package on April 29th and its still processing and hasn't shipped out yet. I'm kind of disappointed and was planning on having them today, but I guess I'll have to wait.

Any other thoughts on them?

I'm not trying to bash on them or anything, they have really competitive prices but the shipping time is kind of lagging IMHO

 

Have you tried contacting them directly? Maybe the part shipped but the system hasn't been updated yet.

I'm not saying that hes not a good guy or hes not doing a good job, but I'll see what he says, just wondering how long it usually takes to recieve after the parts are ordered

 

I read a while back UMI had been really backed up and had 2 hire 2 new welders/fabricators.....I would just give him a call and see whats up

Well I emailed him a few hours ago and am waiting to hear what he says. Worst case I'll just have to use my stock parts until the UMI stuff shows up, but I was just planning on them being here, but its not really a big deal. Hopefully UMI isn't backed up

 

You ordered on a Sunday and it is just now Friday of the same week. That would be extraordinary service to get it that fast, IMHO.

 

I usually place an order on saturday or sunday and recieve the parts by wednesday of the same week at the very latest, they usually get here on tuesday.

But anyway I emailed him and he said that he sends the work order to UMI and they then ship the parts to me. So basically Shon is the middle man for UMI.

Hopefully they will show up soon, but everyone was right he does have good customer service and gets right back to you if you have any questions.

 

That sounds pretty normal to me, so you are going to be at the mercy of UMI then. I've ordered Spohn parts from Speed-Engineering and it was the same situation, they took the order, but the parts were sent directly from Spohn. Also, at one time I ordered parts directly from Spohn as well as some QA1 shocks. The Spohn parts came promptly, but the QA1 shocks were slightly delayed. I called Spohn and they said that they simply pass the order on to the folks at QA1 and it would be a little longer. Low and behold, the shocks showed up about a week later.

 

That seems like more of the norm to me then being extraordinarly fast.

 

I don't count on anything ordered on the internet to be in my hands in less than a week. Especially if ordered on a weekend. 7-10 days is fairly normal for shipping.

 

Shon is great to deal with....unfortunately you are at the mercy of UMI....i ordered spohn stuff from Herron Performance basically because a lot of times there seems to be more of a delay with UMI parts then Spohn

 

I ordered a UMI phb from a different vendor and it came about 3 weeks later. I got the non-UMI parts in less than a week. It took them some time to make it and ship it but its worth it.

 

Great service gets back to you faster than anyone on e-mail,will surely order from him again.
