Best ride on rough roads questions on spring and shocks..?
Best ride on rough roads questions on spring and shocks..?
Roads where I live are pathetic..
I have heard the stock gm shocks are usually toast by 50,000 miles .I have like 60,000 on my 96 and they seem gone
I am kicking around a few ideas but not sure which combo will be best on bad road ,not really that concerned with handling
Idea one find some newer factory springs think slp still sells the take off springs for front and can mabye find some slp backs or some stockers from board from someone that went with lowering springs. For shocks thinking kyb agx have them on my 99 ta and like them and that car has slp eibach springs the firehawk mild drop ones.
Other idea..hotchkis springs.they roder excellent on my 99 when I tried them but they dropped the 99 like two inches ..!! sold them off but heard this was production problem. Are the new hotchkis lt1 springs about 1 inch drop now?
Do they give the nice ride that my hotchkis gave me?
Again likely go with kyb agx or possilby the slp bilsteins shocks .
So who has these combos and how is the ride..again not worried about autocross or fantastic handling. Just nice ride on rough roads.

I had sportline with kyb's and wasn't happy with it. So I decided to go with hotchkis and bro, I love them. 10x's better then the sportlines, if you want a good a nice ride go with hotchkis, works well with kyb agx.
