I am converting my 94 Z to C5 front brakes. What are some good pads at a decent price?
I dont want anything that is going to chew up the rotors, I would also like something that doesnt dust too aweful bad.

how are you doing it on your 94?
i heard that the lt1 wasn't compatible with the c5s for one reason or another?

 

You need adaptor brackets. I also have the C5 conversion. You can see the brackets and other stuff by clicking on the brakes on my webpage.

I also have the Hawk HPS pads. Quiet, low dust and they GRIP.

I am using LS1 spindles and calipers with lg motorsports brackets and c5 rotors.

Should I use pads for an ls1 camaro or for a c5? I think the caliper bracket will accept either, but dont know.

 

I already had the LS1 brakes on the car and ordered brackets from LG motorsports. But after waiting over a month for them to come in was told they were on back order. Since I weld I simply modified the stock LS1 caliper brackets to work with the C5 brakes. It only took a few hours and works and looks great.

Just to let everyone know. You don't need to buy LS1 spindles to put C5 brake swap on!!! I have the C5 setup on my LT1 spindles right now. Get the brake brackets from Matt at Haulin-***-motorsports.com . The price on these brackets is also so much better than other companies. I think it was some where between 180-200 per set of billet aluminum brackets. With the amount of weight you cut off the spindle and removal of the lt1 calipers it actually offset the larger rotors and I think I lost about a pound or two off the front end of the car.
