I have a popping sound form my front suspension. It has gotten bad enough that when I get in my car, it will pop. Generally its only when I'm going over a speed bump or pulling in my driveway. I checked the uppers by trying to rock the wheels holding them at 12 and 6 and they were tight. I checked to see if the lowers had receeded up into the lower control arms, and they aren't. What else could be making the noise, and should I replace the ball joints anyway since I have over 130k on the chassis?

 

It wouldnt be a bad idea. can you get to where you can watch the suspention and have somone else sit in there?

 

if u can watch the suspension move as it makes the pop u can better pinpoint the source of your problem
