auto x, need help with sway bars

I have a 95 t/a that has the stock suspension. I want to get some different sway bars for it, and my friend happens to have some sway bars from a 2000 WS6 T/A. Would this be a good upgrade, or should I purchase something after marker? Any help would be great.

Thanks,
Travis

I've had 4 different front swaybars including the stock one: 32 mm BMR solid, 35 mm Strano hollow, 35 mm ST solid. The Strano bar is the best. Match it up with a 21 mm solid or 22 hollow Strano rear bar and you'll love it.

I agree the Strano Hollow 35/22 is a tough combo to beat.

So you guys don't think I should bother with upgrading to the WS6 sway bars?

The WS6 swaybar is only the front one and it's 32mm
The rear bars are 19mm regardless for all V8 Models.

If you can get the 32 mm WS6 bar cheap, its definitely an upgrade over the stock 30mm bar. As good as a hollow 35 mm bar? No. But if you're on a budget, sure. And for a budget rear bar, maybe you can find a 21 or 22 mm 3rd gen rear bar. I forget what sizes they came in but there were a few and they do interchange with 4th gens.

Don't neglect the springs ... bars are only part of the handling equation.
ISTR the '94 1LE rear bar was 21mm. '95 1LE is 19mm but they used dual rate rear springs too that year.

What class are you wanting to run? If you want to be competitive, be careful with what you upgrade or you might outclass yourself. If you want to stay in stock, you can only change the front sway bar.

The 35mm Strano bar is a killer upgrade. But dont neglect to upgrade your shocks as well. Give Sam Strano a call, and tell him what you're looking to do. He's helped out alot of members here with suspension.

They put me in the ESP class. They said that to stay in that class I could bastically do bolt ons and be ok? I don't know much about the auto x class specifications, but that is what they told me.

I am also looking at a UMI double adjustable panhard bar. Would this help with cornering on an LT1 trans am?

Won't hurt, but won't make a tremendous difference either.
