Question ASR OFF/ABS Inop Problem

Alot of times when driving the Camaro and applying the brakes the brake pedal will slip out from under my foot a litte (traction control) and then the asr off and abs inop lights will come on and stay on unless I shut off the car and turn it back on. Anyone else have this problem or have an idea what the problem is. My mechanic said possibly a wheel sensor.

Re: ASR OFF/ABS Inop Problem

I cured mine by cleaning a sensor.

Re: ASR OFF/ABS Inop Problem

I had the same problem, after cleaning some sensors in the rear tires the problem still came up. I then took it to a dealer and they fixed it for 60 dollars. They said it was a bad connection to the abs module. Might be just a bad ground somewhere?

The "problem" I have with my ASR is it turns off automatically everytime I start the car. I wouldnt really call it a problem though, I hate the damn thing anyway.

Re: ASR OFF/ABS Inop Problem

I cleaned the sensors on the rear wheels, but I am still having the issue. I'll post some pictures below so you can see what I'm talking about. I'm going to trace the cables from the sensors to see if they are in good condition and check the connection to the ABS module if I can find where it's located.

----edit-1----------------------
After driving the car three times with the cleaned sensors, the issue went away

----edit-2----------------------
A few weeks later and my ABS INOP and ASR light are back on intermittently.

----edit 3----------------------
Replaced the rear ABS sensors with new ones from GMPartsDirect... still the same issue.
