Anyone here have experience "Pro Streeting" a third Gen. Z28?

I just bought an '82 Z28 with a 350 bored .30 over and a 671 Weiand blower. The engine was dynoed at 600 hp. The car is beautiful...but was built more as a show car than a drag car. While I intend to drive it mostly on the street, I would like to travel farther down the "Pro Street" road with this thing. What I would like to know is, where do I start? What is the most important thing to ensure that I don't twist the body? I would eventually like to tub the car...but don't have the finances to do that right now. Any help will be more knowledge than I currently have so fire away!!

Thanks!

Ben

that car definitely needs a backhalf. you can do a ladder bar set-up pretty cheap. if you do the work yourself you will save tons of money. i put a 4-link in mine. i just did a lot of research before i started cutting. i have a 4th gen but they are the same car underneath. your car is already bad ***. i would say tub it and be done. you will obviously need atleast a rollbar to hold the rear frame rails with the backhalf. the worst part to me after that is the sheet metal work. but then the car wont twist and you could tuck in as big of a tire as you want. worth every penny.
