another rack and pinion thread

wondering what the deal is with the difference between the LS1 and LT1 racks. Are they interchangeable or not? Which has a quicker ratio? I searched and came up with some indirect sketchy answers and I need a rack, mine leaks...

Re: another rack and pinion thread

I have a rack forsale if you need one. Needs new rod ends, but has nothing wrong with it. From a 95 camaro, 55k miles, FE2.

I always thought the LS1 racks were longer since they have different spindles, but I could be pulling that out my butt too. How and where is it leaking? If it is a hose that could probably be replaced. The only un-interchangable racks on LT1 cars that I know about, are 1LE and FE2. They cannot be changed, but the rest can.
