Unhappy Am I doing something wrong here...

My car is currently up on jack stands at the moment. The transmission is out of the car along with the torque arm. I installed my new DMS springs so I could fit my new 17x11 zr1 wheels. I jacked the rear axle up so the cars weight would be on the rear suspension, and moved my jack stands to the rear end. I was pretty disappointed to see a huge wheel gap between the fender and my tires. Seems like the springs raised the car a couple of inches.
Or, is it because the transmission is out? I hope it gets lower because the stock springs were lower than this!

Yes that gap will go away with the tranny installed and the car on the ground.

That makes me feel better. For awhile I figured it was just my poor luck to get some bad springs.

Did you use any helpful online guides to remove the tranny? I'm removing mine pretty soon and looking for some helpful tip guides. Thanks.
